CEC Section 26 & 68 Bathroom Rules

  • Receptacles in bathrooms must be fed by a dedicated 15A or 20A branch circuit or not overload hair dryer/curling iron draw.
  • In-floor heating systems over 1000W should be fed on a dedicated 120V or 240V GFCI thermostat circuit.
  • Light fixtures located directly inside or above a tub/shower enclosure must be wet-location rated and GFCI protected.
